The Global Leadership Training Program (GLTP) was successfully held by GLTP directors and facilitators at Central Philippines State University (CPSU)—Main Campus for the first time on January 26, 2026, with the theme “Talk to CPSU: Beyond Global Opportunities.”
Mr. Zenn Urbi (Director), Mr. Tomoo Nakayama (Director), and Ms. Marina Matsui (Facilitator) addressed Cenphilian student leaders from various colleges on the Main Campus and shared their experiences in global citizenship and cross-border engagements, inspiring student leaders to pursue similar endeavors.
Japanese national Mr. Nakayama expounded on the origins of the GLTP program and recounted the beginning of his journey, which has taken him to 35 countries.
Australia-based Filipino Mr. Urbi shared his application journey for admission to the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP), an international youth exchange program organized by the Japanese Government.
Ms. Matsui introduced the One Young World Summit, which, according to its official website, “unites the brightest young leaders from 190+ countries and 250+ organizations, working together to accelerate social impact, drive youth empowerment, and champion innovation for a better tomorrow.”
The resource speakers elaborated on their global perspectives and leadership principles as they answered questions posed by Cenphilians and visiting delegates during the open forum, and GLTP’s Ms. Sumika Komiya also shared her global citizenship and international experiences through a video presentation.
The resource speakers, accompanied by the visiting delegation composed of foreign and local guests affiliated with GLTP, were connected to CPSU through Mountain Dreamers Philippines Founder Mr. Mark John Fabale.
According to its official program, GLTP aims to “build a cohesive community where inclusivity, diversity, innovation, and motivation are at the forefront” and to “help and inspire young leaders to influence their peers and attract driven, ambitious young leaders to join us in addressing important social issues.”
The activity was organized at the university by the Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers, headed by President and Student Regent Hon. Melvin Dela Cruz, with SSG Adviser Ms. Donabel Jane T. Tan and SSG Assistant Adviser Ms. Andrelyn E. Bello, in cooperation with the Office of Student Services and Affairs, headed by Director Dr. Aubrey Ginelle P. Rallos, who welcomed the delegates and read the program rationale.
