CPSU is officially recertified by the National Book Development Board Philippines

Oct 27, 2026 | News

The National Book Development Board Philippines officially recertified Central Philippines State University (CPSU) as a “Book Publisher” (of both print and digital media) and “Book Printer.”

The university has once again fulfilled the requirements set forth under Republic Act No. 8047 (the Book Publishing Industry Act) and has attained the certificates, which are valid until August 31, 2027.

Obtaining CPSU's Certificate of Registration empowers university personnel to share their expertise, expand the institution's instructional resources, enhance student access to learning materials, and extend educational services to partner communities.

These outcomes align directly with Section 4 of Republic Act No. 8047 (the National Book Policy), ensuring an adequate, affordable, and accessible supply of books for all segments of the population; promoting book readership, especially among the young and neo-literates; promoting the development of indigenous authorship and of translation among various language groups in the country; respecting and inculcating the concept of intellectual property ownership; and reaffirming and ensuring the country’s commitment to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization principle of free flow of information, as some of its primary purposes and objectives.

This milestone was attained with the efforts of the Instructional Media Production and Development Center (IMPDC) headed by Office Director Dr. Josephine Asuncion R. Emoy.

Marking another achievement, the university moves closer to its vision of rendering efficient, top-tier, innovation-backed, and gender-responsive services.
