In a joint effort to protect the university’s land reserve area and the rights of the local indigenous communities, Central Philippines State University (CPSU), the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) representatives, and the Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) installed billboards in Barangay Camingan and Tagukon.

 Seven billboards were installed to prohibit illegal and unauthorized transactions involving land assets within the geographical jurisdictions of Barangay Camingan and Barangay Tagukon, which are legally entitled to the university and recognized by local Indigenous Peoples communities as part of their heritage.

 The installation of the billboards is a proactive measure initiated by the parties to spread awareness to the local communities and those who are visiting the areas, with the billboards being installed in the following areas along the Kabankalan-Mabinay National Highway to ensure visibility: (1) CPSU and Barangay Oringao boundary, (2) Crossing Cabugan of Barangay Tagukon, (3) Crossing Barangay Carol-an, (4) Crossing Manzumbil of Barangay Tagukon, (5) across Tagukon’s Barangay Hall, (6) Crossing Kanding of Barangay Camingawan, and (7) in front of Camingawan’s Barangay Hall.

 Through this joint undertaking, the university, IP communities, and BLGUs aim to prevent potential conflicts that might come from buying and selling, mutual leasing, and pawning the land parcels within the university reserve.

 CPSU key officials, Board Secretary V, Ma’am Nelly N. Cabual; Supervising Administrative Officer for Administration Mr. Vicente M. Trio Jr.; and Supply Office Head, Ma’am Ma. Socorro T. Llamas, participated in the ceremonial installation of the billboards last August 19, 2026.

 Kabankalan City’s Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), Hon. Jennelyn Largado-Sacadan, the IPMRs of the said barangays, and IP leaders were also in attendance and participated in the installation, conveying messages for the community.

 The installation materialized with the warm support of Camingawan and Tagukon’s BLGU officials, respectively, headed by Hon. Rico M. Regalia and Hon. Raymundo R. Meleloa, with the active support of their respective barangay councilors.
