Equipped with indigenous tools and cleaning materials, local farmers and community partners voluntarily gathered at Central Philippines State University (CPSU) โ€“ Main Campus to support campus improvements ahead of class opening.

Driven by the bayanihan spirit and the spirit of oneness as common denominators, the grassroots stakeholders helped in cleaning the campus grounds and maintaining the premises of the university to aid in ensuring preparedness for the Academic Year 2026 - 2027 on June 29, 2026.

The initiative, now in its second consecutive year and participated in by sixteen farmersโ€™ associations, is expected to continue as an annual event, a testament to the solid partnership that the university has built with its stakeholders through its extension activities.

The success of the initiative is attributed to the shared concern of the university and its community partners for the welfare of the youth and students, emphasizing the common goal of providing quality education to the youth through conducive learning environments and inspiring peace through harmonious relationships between the academe and the community.

The participating farmers in the balik-eskwela bayanihan received hygiene kits containing gender-sensitive personal sanitation essentials, which were donated by the CPSUโ€™s partner, the Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental Bacolod City Chapter.
