Sep 22, 2025 | News

Clad in their blue internship uniforms, 160 members of Bagsik Class 2022 received their practicum pins during the Donning Ceremony, symbolically marking the beginning of their Criminology Officer Practicum Service (COPS) program.

The Bagsik Class 2022 were also donned with their ranks, accompanied by their parents and guardians at Central Philippines State University – Main Campus on September 18, 2025.

Kabankalan Component City Police Station’s Chief of Police, PLTCOL ROBERTO V INDIAPE JR, graced the assembly of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) as the guest speaker held at the campus’ football field.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Indiape emphasized studying hard, being mindful of one’s company, consistent prayerfulness, and dreaming big as key points in his inspirational message. He concluded by saying, “Whatever your plans are, always include them in your prayers. If you practice the points that I taught you, you will be successful people in the community. Once again, be proud as the Class Bagsik and be the kind of public servants that this country needs.”

The sound of Bagsik Class 2022’s synchronized march during the ceremonial parade resounded across the field, and they also exhibited snappy movements and coordinated formations in their Pasa Masid or Pass Review.

Chief Intern, COPS COL Josua T. Tapic, also delivered a message to the members of Bagsik Class 2022, saying, “To all my fellow interns and to our lowerclassmen, we may face many adversities along the way, but always remember the saying ‘Wait until you become.’ Thank you! I also would like to impart one more message—a verse—which if you uphold, you will never lose…Philippians 4:13, which says, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’”

University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Grenny I. Jungco, CCJE Dean Elmer S. Manzanares, and college faculty collectively showed their support to the fourth-year criminology interns through their presence.

Showcasing the college’s tight-knit relationship and sense of camaraderie, underclassmen applauded their upperclassmen who are transitioning to another chapter of their criminology journey.

With Dean Manzanares opening the ceremony with his welcoming remarks, CCJE Internship Coordinator Zester M. Javelona concluded the event with his closing remarks.
