The Negros Occidental provincial government, through the Provincial Environment Management Office, awarded Central Philippines State University the Gold Seal of Good Environmental Governance during a ceremony at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City on June 25, 2019.
The Gold Seal is given to awardees that have successively received the bronze and silver seals during the past years. Candidates for the award must satisfy the criteria for good environmental governance in Education/Advocacy Programs, Greening, Solid Waste Management, Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Sustainability Mechanisms, Performance Evaluation System and Documentation.
The awarding of the Seal of Good Environmental Governance is now on its 6th year. There were 123 awardees for silver, bronze, gold and platinum seals for businesses, industries, schools, non-government organizations, local government units, and individuals.
