The Office of the Ombudsman, Regional Office VI, conducted the Integrity Development and Leadership Seminar for Campus Integrity Crusaders (CIC) at the Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Main Campus on January 28, 2026.
Student leaders from various organizations, including the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and the Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) from the Main and Cauayan Campuses, participated in the seminar. The activity aimed to cultivate future Filipino leaders grounded in integrity and social responsibility.
The Ombudsman Team was composed of Team Leader Ms. Evangeline G. Nuñal (Graft Investigation Officer I), Ms. Maria Luvilla Gaurana (Associate Graft Officer II), Ms. Abigail R. Tan Yau (Associate Graft Officer I), and Ms. Melanie M. Banderado (Investigation Designate).
The seminar featured three modular sessions titled “Understanding Corruption,” “Youth Leadership,” and “Mirror Imaging the Self.”
In these sessions, the resource persons introduced vital concepts creatively, focusing on recognizing forms of corruption, enhancing youth leadership skills, and upholding personal values and virtues.
The Ombudsman Team also presented the Office of the Ombudsman as a non-partisan entity, highlighting its five major functions, with Graft Prevention as the primary rationale behind the initiative. They further explained the Campus Integrity Crusaders (CIC) Program and the contents of Memorandum Circular No. 1 of the Office of the Ombudsman.
The activity was organized in partnership with the Ombudsman and the consolidated efforts of the Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA), headed by Director Dr. Aubrey Ginelle P. Rallos, and the Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers, led by President and Student Regent Hon. Melvin Dela Cruz, with SSG Adviser Ms. Donabel Jane T. Tan and Assistant Adviser Ms. Andrelyn E. Bello.
The same leadership seminar was conducted for student leaders from the university’s Valladolid Extension Class and the Hinigaran, Ilog, and Moises Padilla Campuses on January 27 at CPSU-Hinigaran Campus, and for student leaders from Sipalay, Candoni, and Hinoba-an Campuses on January 29 at CPSU-Sipalay Campus.
Future schedules for student leaders from the Victorias and San Carlos Campuses are scheduled on February 18 and 19, 2026, respectively.
