NEDF’s 56th Founding Anniversary was held last July 24, 2026, with the theme “From Seed to Strength—Harvesting Tomorrow,” commemorating its legacy in promoting sustainable and inclusive development in the province through organic agriculture, climate resilience, environmental stewardship, enterprise development, and community empowerment.
Alongside Professor Alfaras, College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) Assistant Professor Genalyn A. Mangao, and Instructor Mary Ann M. Cañada, College of Hospitality Management (CHM) Dean Dr. Sheila A. Ignacio, Instructor Daryl Faith C. Bacolod, and CHM students joined the anniversary celebration.
Cenphilians showcased CPSU’s muscovado sugar production and pandesal baking demonstrations in support of the undertaking—putting local ingenuity and innovation in the limelight to spark community development and uplift the province’s slow food culture.
