The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) โ Negros Island Region (NIR) successfully handed out the second tranche of financial help from the KALAHI-CIDSS Cash-For-Work (CFW) program on May 28, 2026, at the Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Clemente Sports Complex.
ย The program benefited 125 student-beneficiaries by providing immediate income support through temporary work. The initiative aims to support community development and reinforce the governmentโs commitment to poverty reduction and student welfare under the KALAHI-CIDSS program.
ย DSWD-NIR, under the leadership of Regional Director Arwin O. Razo, conducted the activity in the presence of Honorable Congresswoman Mercedes "Cheding" K. Alvarez. Their participation underscored the collaborative effort between government agencies and local leadership to support the educational and financial needs of the student body.
