Central Philippines State University debuts at AppliedHE Public University Rankings All Asia 2026, securing 235th place in Asia, 10th in the Philippines, and standing as the sole placer from the Negros Island Region.
493 Asian universities from 41 countries which made it to the rankings were evaluated across six dimensions namely: Community Engagement, Employability, Student Satisfaction, Research Excellence, Internationalization and Peer Recognition.
According to the Central Philippines State University – International Affairs and Linkages Office (CPSU-IALO), the AppliedHE ranking aims to showcase how institutions advance student development and community engagement, assesses performance through indicators that extend beyond research outputs, and offers students and employers evidence-based comparisons among institutions and supports universities in identifying strategic areas for continuous improvement.
CPSU is among the universities from the Philippines, which collectively ranked as the second-highest in terms of the number of institutions included in the AppliedHE All Asia ranking.
The university celebrates the milestone as a testament to its dedication to excellence in education, diligent pursuit for innovation, and commitment to genuine community service.
CPSU-IALO Director Dr. Joe-an Mae G. Escober announced the achievement in the office’s official Facebook page; the feat championed by the University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca with the CPSU-IALO, and is also the fruition of the joint efforts from the academic and non-teaching personnel in advancing the quality of higher education at CPSU.
