Cenphilian faculty attends training on multimedia innovations and integration

Dec 03, 2025 | News

The Multimedia Innovations training, themed, “Innovate to Educate: Integrating Multimedia into Higher Learning,” for Cenphilian educators took place at the Central Philippines State University (CPSU) – Main Campus.

Mr. Van Roger B. Gutib, MSIT, a faculty member of the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) – College of Computer Studies, shared his expertise through his talks on “Introduction to Multimedia Innovations” and other comprehensive discussions on the subject matter as the invited speaker.

Facilitated by the CPSU – Office of Training Services, headed by Dr. Mary Grace Noreen Leduna-Jaranilla, the training ran from December 1 - 2, 2025, at the Main Campus’ Accreditation Center.

Understanding that faculty members are the cornerstone of any university, the activity’s rationale encompass the provision of learning opportunities for its academic personnel to learn and utilize the latest technology in teaching.

In a written statement, Dr. Leduna expressed, “By embracing technology in the classroom, faculty can deliver interactive lessons enriched by multimedia, access a wealth of online resources, and cultivate vital skills such as digital literacy and problem-solving—key components for our students' future success. Embracing this innovative training is a necessary step toward transforming higher education for the better.”

Moreover, through empowering its educators, the university and the Office of Training Services invest to enhance student engagement; foster personalized learning experiences; and strengthen communication among students, teachers, and parents.
