Dagunan, District II’s Ms. Anne Yvonne B. Vingo and Dr. Saturnino T. Pabalinas, Jr., District III’s Ms. Mary Joan G. Dayon and Ms. Jerralyn E. Limaco, District IV’s Mr. Jolly G. Gariando, Jr. and Mr. Eduardo L. Seron, Jr., and District V’s Mr. Faustino T. Padilla, Jr.

Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Dr. Junry M. Esparar elucidated on the Policies and Guidelines on the Deployment of Pre-service Teachers for Field Study and Teaching Internship from various legal bases and memoranda—expounding relevant context and rationale, acronyms and terminologies, and stakeholder roles and responsibilities as orientation topics.

SDOKC’s Field Study and Internship Division Coordinator and Education Program Supervisor (Kindergarten/SNed) Dr. Xyzette V. Ganza laid out DepEd guidelines for field study and practice teaching—elaborating on the requirements needed for the pre-service teachers to complete the program.

Dr. Sy emphasized in his talk the importance of the ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) program, how it is designed to assist learners from Kindergarten through Grade 10 struggling with foundational skills in reading, mathematics, and science, and explained that this initiative will be joined by pre-service teachers as part of their training.

He also added that through the ARAL program, the pre-service teachers will also take part in helping learners improve and succeed; as the famous tagline of DepEd NIR goes, "for every learner will rise."

The College of Teacher Education (COTED), headed by College Dean Dr. Merfe C. Hucalinas and COTED Field Study and Teaching Assistantship Coordinator Ms. Gene Rose T. Bocol, facilitated the event to prepare pre-service teaching Cenphilians in their Field Study courses and teacher assistantship journey.

With the support of the DepEd key officials, the event aimed to inspire Cenphilians to diligently carry out their pre-service duties in their future cooperating schools, where they will be deployed to observe actual classroom scenarios, assist cooperating teachers in delivering lessons, and engage with learners in the school setting.

President Moraca shared the university’s current world ranking achievements and successful extension and community service initiatives with the DepEd officials to give them a glimpse of catalyzing positive changes in the community as a part of the Cenphilian culture—boosting the morale of the students who will be taking what they learned within the university and cascading it into the community.

Dr. Sy, Dr. Dollosa, and Dr. Jungco also conveyed messages of support to the aspiring teachers in their pre-service deployment and congratulated the COTED for the successful event.
