All CPSU undergraduate, graduate programs 100% COPC-compliant

Aug 01, 2025 | News

The 100% Certificate of Program Compliance milestone among all its undergraduate and graduate programs throughout all its campuses was officially reached by Central Philippines State University.

This achievement signifies that every CPSU academic offering meets—and exceeds—the Commission on Higher Education's (CHED) minimum requirements, as defined in its Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSGs) in ten CPSU campuses established from north to south of Negros Occidental.

Securing the COPC certification ensures CPSU’s Higher Education and Graduate School students of quality learning experiences and pre-professional training through instruction delivered by its highly qualified roster of professors and instructors and high-end facilities.

In a letter dated March 28, 2025, CHED Negros Island Region (CHED XVIII–NIR) Director Raul C. Alvarez Jr., REE, EdD, CESO III, commended CPSU for its unwavering commitment to quality assurance, noting, “Your steadfast adherence to quality assurance has significantly contributed to the success of this newly established region, aligning with its vision of ensuring that all state universities attain COPC in both undergraduate and graduate programs.”

Under the leadership of the University President, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, the then Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Fernando D. Abello, and former Quality Assurance (QA) Director—now VPAA—Dr. Grenny I. Jungco, with the campus administrators, college deans, office directors, and office heads, the university has reached new heights.

This achievement encapsulates the university’s commitment to upholding academic excellence through dynamic leadership and excellent civil service that aims to effectively utilize state resources in providing top-tier education services for Filipino students across the province.
